Issachar and Zebulon decided to stop at a betting center, making extra cash won't hurt anyone, will it?
"Let's place the whole bet on Arsenal, they just got a new player plus their coach has been boasting of a new strategy for some weeks now" Zebulon said.
After a lot of arguments, Issachar agreed that placing all the bet on Arsenal during the current match was the best option they had. Before they could pay, they spotted Asher after strolling into the betting center. Zebulon told him about their plans and Asher's approval couldn't have been more obvious.
"Do you remember the Federal Government loan given to Farmers? Dad asked me to withdraw it and I have the five hundred thousand naira with me right now."
Excited, Issachar gripped Asher's shoulder. "Joseph's dream earlier today was that he will be greater than us all. This is the perfect opportunity to prove his dream was born out of too much sleep."
With that, they placed a bet worth six hundred thousand naira on Arsenal. However, it ended in standard premium tears. Unfortunately for them, Arsenal was the underdog while Chelsea was the favorite and because Arsenal lost, they forfeited their money.
Fear kept their hearts as they thought of what to do. After several minutes of contemplating, they decided to ask Simeon for help. After explaining to him, they came up with a plan. As usual, Joseph brought his brothers ofe nsala soup and garri while they were on the field. Unknown to him, Simeon had called Mr. Boniface who was a renown child trafficker. When Joseph arrived, they collected the food, removed his coat of many colours and handed him over to Mr. Boniface for three hundred and fifty thousand naira.
Later that day, they killed a goat, smoked it (with a plan to eat it on their way home) and soaked Joseph's coat in its blood. Jacob cried bitterly when he heard of Joseph's death. The saddest part of for him was that they couldn't find his remains. But as a man with Igbo pedigree, he came back to himself after some days and asked Asher for his money. Simeon being a master planner was able to raise the remaining one hundred and fifty thousand naira by secretly selling some of their Father's cattle. Jacob kept mourning Joseph's demise from time to time.
